A Fine Dining Restaurant With A Family Atmosphere

Michael Garozzo, owner and operator of Garozzo’s, with locations in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Overland Park, Kansas and Olathe, Kansas, began his restaurant career as a busboy. Michael was born and raised on the “Hill” in St. Louis by his parents Salvatore and Margaret Garozzo along with 3 sisters and one brother. His father, Salvatore and his uncle Alfio, both waiters in fine restaurants all their lives, always encouraged Michael and his love for the restaurant business.

His life long dream of owning a restaurant became a reality in April 1989. He opened Garozzo’s Ristorante at 526 Harrison in Kansas City’s Columbus park area. As a business owner, Michael became involved in helping to restore the community. He even painted all the fire hydrants with the green, white and red of the Italian flag.
